To better suit the needs of industry
Cranfield provides a suite of short *(CPD) courses for professionals, senior managers, and executives providing further knowledge and skills to manage the transition to a circular economy.
The transition towards a circular economy has been rapid over recent years. These Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Courses provide industrial professionals, senior managers, and executives with the knowledge and skills to transition within their organisation to a circular economy.
“Short courses” range from half-day sessions to several weeks. The majority are around a week long. Scheduled short courses are mostly classroom based.
Besides the Circular Economy courses, other areas of CPD study include:
Agrifood, Aerospace, Defence and Security, Design, Energy and Power, Environment, Management, Manufacturing, Transport Systems and Water
A EMF Pioneer University – Cranfield University
As the UK’s only exclusively postgraduate university, Cranfield’s large-scale facilities and unrivalled industry partnerships is creating leaders in technology and management globally
Explore our international activity
At Cranfield, our students engage in, and then shape, the global debates that matter – the resilience of our cities’ infrastructures, how to develop the next generation of technology leaders, the future of flight or the practices needed to deliver safe water and sanitation.
Here at Cranfield we are developing the Nano Membrane Toilet which will be able to treat human waste on-site without external energy or water. This toilet is designed for single-household use (equivalent to 10 people) and accepts urine and faeces as a mixture.
The Nano Membrane Toilet is a development in response to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s ‘Reinvent the Toilet Challenge’. The innovative, affordable and sustainable toilet developed by the team can be used without the need for connection to water, power or sewage supplies and has no waste collection requirement.
