Above-normal Hurricane season for 2024
>The NOAA Climate Prediction Center has forecast that up to 13 hurricanes could develop in the Atlantic Ocean this year, at least four of which could be major.
NOAA National Weather Service forecasters at the Climate Prediction Center predict above-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic basin this year. NOAA’s outlook for the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season spans from June 1 to November 30 and predicts an 85% chance of an above-normal season.

A bad sign for hurricane season.
2 July, 2024 – Over the course of a few days, the system called Beryl intensified from tropical storm to a Category 5 hurricane, devastating Carriacou, a small island north of Grenada, and setting records for the earliest point in a season that a storm has grown so big. The fast growth of Beryl reflects hot ocean conditions that could bring more dangerous storms.
