TU Delft Library- TU Delft - Technology - ONLINE courses and more....
The TU Delft Library is the largest technical scientific library of The Netherlands. The building is energy efficient. The grass roof has an insulating effect and reduces large changes in temperature. The vegetation retains the rain water. Slow condensation of this water creates natural cooling in summer. It also provides excellent noise reduction.  (..not to mention absorption of CO2)

*IO3075 – Towards Circular Product Design

Too often we design products with little regard for what happens to them after we are finished using them.  Leaving them to waste is “incomplete design”!
This course – Towards Circlular Product Design – tackles the transition from our linear ‘take-make-waste’ economy to the opposite >> a circular economy where the products loop back into the production system, first of all using repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing and furthermore using recapturing resources, extending their useful life and preventing waste.

This course includes a series of lectures and four short workshops:
1. Design for dis-assembly in a “Teardown Lab”
2. Playing with solar PV products
3. Circular business models
4. Designing Cradle to Cradle (C2C) products
Cradle to Cradle is a key circular design strategy. We explore C2C with a qualified expert and redesign a product/service according to C2C principles.
